Ryan Smith is Editor at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. He works on the Publications team overseeing CEI’s publications and the Open Market blog.
Ryan brings nearly a decade of experience from the Washington, DC think tank space to his current role. Prior to joining CEI, Ryan worked in Media Relations for the Republican National Committee, the Heritage Foundation, and National Taxpayers Union. He has also served in two House of Representative offices on Capitol Hill. These experiences have taught him the importance of promoting limited government, free enterprise, and individual liberty.
Ryan studied at Loyola Maryland University in Baltimore for Business Management. He is married and lives in Washington, DC.
