Tom Bray writes a twice-a-week column for the Detroit News, where he served as editor of the editorial page from 1983 until 2000. From 1964 to 1983 he worked for The Wall Street Journal as a reporter, bureau chief and member of the editorial page staff. Mr. Bray is a trustee of the Earhart Foundation and the Political Economy Research Center. He is also a governor of Cranbrook Schools in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. After completing his bachelor's degree in history at Princeton University, Mr. Bray served as an active-duty member of the U.S. Army Reserves. He lives in Birmingham, Michigan, with his wife, Dale. They have two daughters.
