CEI Honors 27 Senators with “Champion of the Worker” Awards

September 12, 2014

Washington – Today, the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) announced 27 current senators earned its distinguished “Champion of the Worker” award for perfect voting records on key employment and workforce issues during the 113th Congress.
CEI senior fellow and labor expert Aloysius Hogan congratulated the honorees for leading the way on labor and employment policies. “These lawmakers resisted all of the accounting gimmickry, unfunded government handouts that burden future workers, and additional federal mandates that put people’s jobs and economic well-being at risk.”
CEI’s labor policy team scores each congressional vote on pro-worker issues including: increasing employment, creating better incentives for workers, supporting growth in workers’ incomes, and improving worker freedom. The results can be found in CEI’s Congressional Labor Policy Scorecard atWorkplaceChoice.org.
