CEI Praises Trump Pick for National Labor Relations Board

Competitive Enterprise Institute labor policy expert Trey Kovacs praised President Trump’s pick to head the National Labor Relations Board, which is an independent federal agency charged with overseeing labor union issues and adjudicating labor disputes.

We hope that as the National Labor Relations Board Acting Chairman, Philip Miscimarra works to restore many of the longstanding pro-employee and employer policies that were upended by the excessively pro-union NLRB. During his tenure at the NLRB, Philip Miscimarra has impartially and thoughtfully represented the interests of the American people in labor disputes over the narrow interests of either labor unions or employers. Now President Trump and the Senate must work together to quickly fill the two vacant seats on the Board with new, levelheaded nominees that will rule fairly in labor relation cases.
