CEI Thanks Pro-Worker Congressmen at Ceremony

Washington, D.C., September 22, 2011—Yesterday, the Competitive Enterprise Institute held an award ceremony for Members of Congress with the highest scores on the WorkplaceChoice Congressional Labor Scorecard.

As of this past Labor Day, 159 representatives earned 100% pro-worker scores on the scorecard, which is calculated and updated by CEI labor policy analysts after each congressional vote on a workers’ rights issue.

Many Members of Congress came to yesterday’s awards ceremony to accept their awards in person. (See a photo slideshow of Congressmen accepting the awards on WorkplaceChoice.org.)

Other Representatives could not attend the ceremony, but thanked CEI for recognizing their exemplary voting records on labor policy issues.

CEI Labor Policy Vincent Vernuccio said, “It was an honor to present awards to Congressmen who have consistently stood up for workers. We applaud the Congressmen who maintained 100% pro-worker scores thus far during the 112th congress and are pleased that so many Representatives came to yesterday’s ceremony and demonstrated their dedication to protecting workplace freedoms.”
