I, Whiskey: The Human Spirit Wins Gold at TIVA-DC Peer Awards
At the 2016 Television, Internet & Video Association (TIVA) of DC Peer Awards, the Competitive Enterprise Institute and Passing Lane Films were awarded gold in the education production category for I, Whiskey: The Human Spirit.
I, Whiskey wins its first film festival award only a month after its release, following the footsteps of its predecessor film, I, Pencil: The Movie, which also won gold at the 2014 TIVA-DC Peer Awards. CEI is pleased to announce the award-winning series.
The 2016 ceremony, held at the French Embassy in Washington, D.C. last Saturday, November 12th, was a marked celebration of local directors, producers, screenwriters, and actors—from high school students to accomplished professionals.
Producers Drew Tidwell and Helen Straight and executive producer Richard Morrison accepted the trophy and spoke with TIVA press on site about both their award for I, Whiskey as well as for FI$H: How An Economy Grows, their web series with the Moving Picture Institute.
