Marlo Lewis Joins CEI As Senior Fellow

Washington, D.C., April 1, 2001—The Competitive Enterprise Institute is pleased to announce that Marlo Lewis has rejoined its team of policy analysts as Senior Fellow.  In his new position, Lewis will write on a wide range of policy areas, including environmental, domestic economic, and international trade issues.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office” />

 

“I’m proud to be welcoming Marlo back to CEI,” said Competitive Enterprise Institute president and founder Fred L. Smith, Jr.  “I know that as Senior Fellow he will continue the valuable work he accomplished as Vice President for Policy.”

 

Before rejoining CEI, Lewis served as the Staff Director of the House Government Reform Committee’s Subcommittee on National Economic Growth, Natural Resources, and Regulatory Affairs, chaired by former Rep. David McIntosh of Indiana.

Lewis has also served as Director of External Relations at the Reason Foundation, Vice President for Policy and Coalitions at CEI, and Research Director for Citizens against Government Waste. He also served as a policy analyst in the State Department under President Ronald Reagan, and as a political science teacher at Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California.
