Trump Administration Environmental Agenda Focuses on Stewardship, not Alarmist Policies
WASHINGTON, DC — In a speech today at the White House, President Trump touted his administration’s record of defending the environment and simultaneously expanding the development of energy sources that will lower costs for consumers.
Director of CEI’s Center for Energy and Environment Myron Ebell said:
“President Trump made a strong case that they are concentrating on real stewardship and taking on genuine environmental issues of concern to Americans and not on leftist climate policies that would force Americans to spend trillions of dollars in higher energy costs. One of the issues that rightly drew the largest applause was when he discussed pulling the U.S. out of the Paris climate treaty, a move that realigned America’s environmental policies with the Constitution and tradition based on the rule of law.”
