CEI Film ‘I, Whiskey: The Human Spirit’ on Tour
I, Whiskey is back on the road this fall with three festivals in California. Earlier this week I, Whiskey was accepted into the Food & Farm Film Fest (9/29–10/1) at the Roxie Theater in San Francisco, the film’s second cinema screening.
Later that same week I, Whiskey is joining whiskey aficionados the world over for the leading whiskey festival in North America—WhiskyFest San Francisco. On Friday, October 6th we’re hosting several screenings and a seminar at the 20th anniversary celebration at the Marriott Marquis. I, Whiskey Executive Producer Richard Morrison, Distilled Spirits Council Senior Vice President David Ozgo, and DonorsTrust President and CEO Lawson Bader will discuss challenging neo-Prohibitionist threats today, the growth of craft distilling, whiskey-preneurs, and the power of storytelling.
Later this year, I, Whiskey will compete in what will be its seventh film fest—the Silicon Valley International Film Festival. We looking forward to attending SVIFF and bringing filmmakers together with the tech and start-up communities in Silicon Valley.
Since its October 2016 release, I, Whiskey: The Human Spirit has been screened more than 50 times around the globe, including 5 film and whiskey festivals. It’s been honored with 10 awards and viewed more than 150,000 times on Facebook and YouTube.
Just last month, I, Whiskey traveled to Sin City for two screenings at the Paris Resort for FreedomFest’s Anthem Film Festival. A crowd of thirsty filmgoers gathered early for the 2nd I, Whiskey screening and “The Marvel of Free Markets” star-studded panel featuring Jeffrey Tucker, Kent Lassman, Larry Reed, Lawson Bader (left to right, below), and Drew Tidwell.
