NPR reported this week that about 20,000 condominiums are in various stages of construction in Miami, in spite of global warming. “For people who come invest in a condo, they really don’t care,” said Michael Montalvan, who manages properties for overseas clients. “You know, I’ve never seen an investor come talk to me about it at all.” Real estate consultant Peter Zalewski said that climate change ranks much lower than property taxes, maintenance fees and market conditions for prospective buyers.
