CEI Praises Senate for Confirming Jeff Clark to lead DOJ’s Environmental and Natural Resources Division
Today, the Senate voted to confirm Jeff Clark to be Assistant Attorney General heading up the Department of Justice’s Environmental and Natural Resources Division.
Director of CEI’s Center for Energy and Environment Myron Ebell said:
“The Senate’s confirmation of Jeff Clark to be Assistant Attorney General for the Energy and Natural Resources Division—after a disgraceful delay of fourteen months—is great news for the President’s deregulatory agenda. Jeff brings the skill, experience, and determination needed for a key legal position. We are confident that Jeff is up to the job of defending the administration’s withdrawal of major Obama-era environmental rules from legal challenges. And we hope that he will provide new energy and determination to go further in undoing decades of regulatory over-reach at the EPA and the Department of the Interior.”
