Tim Carney was CEI’s Warren T. Brookes Journalism Fellow from 2005-2006. He is the author of The Big Ripoff: How Big Business and Big Government Steal Your Money and Obamanomics: How Barack Obama Is Bankrupting You and Enriching His Wall Street Friends, Corporate Lobbyists, and Union Bosses. The Washington Examiner also published a collection of his articles and columns, Carneysian Lens, in 2014.
Tim was a 2004-2005 Phillips Foundation Journalism fellow, and before that he was a contributor to the Evans-Novak Political Report and Assistant Editor at Human Events. He has been published in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Newsweek, The Atlantic, National Review, American Spectator, American Conservative, and many other magazines, newspapers, and websites.
Tim is a visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, where he helps direct AEI’s Culture of Competition Project, and a columnist for the Washington Examiner.
