Travis Burk is Vice President of Communications at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. He oversees CEI’s media relations, marketing, digital advocacy, and coalitions work. He has spent almost two decades working in public policy, campaigns and government and specializes in strategic communications.

Prior to joining CEI in June 2018, Burk worked for non-profit and corporate clients at CRC Public Relations (now CRC Advisors) in Alexandria, VA, as press secretary for a member of the House of Representatives, as deputy director of rapid response for Rick Scott’s 2010 campaign for Florida governor, and as a political appointee for both the Department of the Treasury and the Department of Homeland Security.

Originally from Los Angeles, Burk received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California in 2003.
