Air Traffic Reform Plan from White House Earns CEI Praise
Today, the White House announced a plan to reform air traffic control in America. CEI transportation policy expert Marc Scribner, who attended today’s announcement at the White House, praised the plan.
Statement by Competitive Enterprise Institute Senior Fellow Marc Scribner:
We commend President Trump for his support for air traffic control reform. Modernizing air traffic control will benefit the traveling public by reducing flight times, delays, and fuel consumption. The status quo is unacceptable, and converting the FAA’s Air Traffic Organization to a self-supporting, independent nonprofit corporation is the best way to ensure the U.S. is able to harness modern technologies and practices to usher in the 21st century of aviation.
