Amanda France is the vice president of events at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, where she manages a robust team of two and a rigorous calendar of 60+ annual events. In collaboration with CEI’s president, she launched the organization’s annual policy summit, which has become a flagship event along with the Julian L. Simon Memorial Award Dinner. As producer of the I, Pencil film series, she managed the educational campaign for I, Pencil: The Movie and the crowdfunding campaign and release of I, Whiskey: The Human Spirit. In January 2014, France helped launch CEI’s nationally syndicated radio program, RealClear Radio Hour with Bill Frezza, and produced the show throughout its three years on air.

France started at CEI in 2009 as executive assistant to CEI founder Fred L. Smith, Jr. Before joining CEI, she received her Bachelors in Political Science and Economics from the University of Southern California and worked for several years in Hollywood at an independent production company and the publishing house TASCHEN America.
